Desiree M. Mattox (n):  a resident nerd and product junkie with temperamental skin, the drive of an entrepreneur and the desire to make women feel like they deserve a little luxury.

Desiree Mattox earned a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry for the sole purpose of creating a successful line of luxury body care and cosmetics.  During the course of her undergraduate studies she gained experience in a variety of chemical industries including water purification, medical lab preparations and analytical/environmental chemistry. Desiree has conducted extensive research on fragrance creation, analytical methods of fragrance quality control and product development.

Desiree’s interest and expertise in cosmetic science prompted her to publish The Glam Laboratory; a blog designed keep the general public informed about the ingredients in personal care products and the latest in cosmetic science.  Desiree also uses the blog as a platform to address how a beauty regimen can help to improve a woman’s overall esteem.

Desiree’s qualms with the cosmetic/bath and body products on the market led to the development of  Envie (on-vee-ay) Bath and Body; a product line made of high quality natural ingredients that provide the skin with vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids.  Her experience in product research and development has afforded her the ability to extend her reach to spas, salons, boutiques and independent contractors (estheticians, massage therapists and makeup artists) with private label service options.
